On Friday we had the pleasure of attending the 19th Annual SHRM-LI Conference at the Crest Hollow Country Club in Woodbury. Human Resource Professionals came from all over Long Island. The attendees participated in various workshops throughout the day to learn how to expand their role in the workplace. Topics included ‘how to bring social media into the Human Resource department’ and ‘tools to overcome addiction and depression.’ Our Foundation set up a booth where we not only gave the attendees information about our Corporate Wellness Programs, but also offered our delicious “Pink and White” cookies for all who took the time to talk with us. We provided each individual who visited our booth a scroll that described how their company can get involved in our mission to stop breast cancer before it starts. The conference was a great way for us to introduce The Maurer Foundation to the Long Island market. Overall the day was a success and we look forward to the 20th Annual SHRM Conference next year!
