The Maurer Foundation hosted their Sixth Annual Motorcycle Ride on Saturday, September 14th. It was picture perfect weather for a ride and everyone joined together in support of The Maurer Foundation’s breast health education programs. Almost 80 bikers revved up at the parking lot of the Oak Beach Inn, and led by the motorcycle club the Chosen Souls, enjoyed a scenic ride to The Maples in Manorville, NY. One biker, Maryanne, commented, “My mom had breast cancer so I am glad to be able to ride for a cause that is near and dear to me. Now that I know about this foundation, I will do this run every year.”

The bikers were thrilled to be part of such an amazing event where they were able to contribute to The Maurer Foundation’s breast health programs. Everyone enjoyed a BBQ, live music and tried their luck at exciting raffle prizes at The Maples. The Maurer Foundation is grateful for the support, and the money raised will help to provide breast health education programs to high schools, colleges, and community groups throughout Long Island and the New York City area.

Maurer Foundation Executive Director Susan Samaroo stated, “We were able to raise almost $10,000 for our breast health education programs thanks to the generosity of our event sponsor,  Champion Elevator, and our other sponsors, Bleiberg Plumbing Supplies, BMB Solutions, Crest Hollow Country Club, Electrical Contracting Solutions Corp, Herber Plumbing & Heating, Raphael Goldberg Nikpour Cohen & Sullivan CPA, PLLC, and the Sarisky Triplets.”
