Long Island shoppers came out to Impulse Boutique in Port Washington despite the rain on Tuesday, March 12, to spruce up their spring wardrobes while supporting the Maurer Foundation’s life-saving mission. Thanks to a collaborative partnership, 10% of all Impulse purchases were donated to support the Maurer Foundation’s breast health education programs.

Quite a few women enjoyed this shopping experience, which included wine and snacks, and left with stylish designer garments and accessories. Impulse carries high-end, unique, trendy items, ranging from dresses to jeans, scarves to sweaters. With a broad assortment of prints, patterns and cuts, the store offers merchandise that appeals to women of all ages. For this occasion, Impulse extended its hours, keeping doors open until 8 p.m.

“We appreciate all of the shoppers who supported our breast health education mission by attending this event, and extend a big thanks to Impulse Boutique for generously offering to donate 10% of all purchases toward our programs,” said Maurer Foundation Executive Director Debbie Hecht. “The collaboration with Impulse provided a fun opportunity for women to treat themselves while helping others, and we hope to be part of more events such as this in the future.”

The Maurer Foundation participates in a variety of fundraising initiatives across Long Island, and we welcome opportunities to team up with other groups and businesses in creating custom breast cancer fundraising events and programs.
