Yesterday Pat Kierman, Director of Development at Eastern Long Island Hospital, Assemblyman Marc Alessi and Cross Sound Ferry executives met at the Orient Point ferry terminalA term used to describe far-advanced metastatic disease where there is a very limited time before death anticipated. to highlight the Company’s breast cancer awareness programs during Breast Cancer Awareness month. During the month of October and continuing through November, Cross Sound Ferry will donate a portion of ticket sales on Sea Jet I to our Breast Health Education programs. Every Wednesday, each passenger on the high-speed ferry will receive a Pink Ribbon Breast Cancer Awareness Pin, an Eastern Long Island Hospital Pink Shopping Bag, and educational material from the Maurer Foundation. Our pink and white cookies (baked by Jonathan Lord on Long Island) are sold on all the Cross Sound Ferries and Terminals, with proceeds going to us as well.
