Excitement on the Fairways
at Our 29th Annual Golf Classic

It was worth the wait

Despite the brisk weather, the enthusiasm of golfers remained unwavering as they teed off for the 29th Maurer Foundation Annual Golf Classic on May 13th. Their efforts resulted in an impressive fundraising total of almost $285,000 for breast health education. Beginning their day at Mill River Club and Meadow Brook Club, attendees enjoyed a wonderful brunch before fine-tuning their swings on the putting green and driving range.

Making a grand return for its second year, the Pink Ball Contest injected an extra dose of competition and provided ample opportunity for good-natured teasing among teams who found themselves without their ball along the course. Emerging victorious, for the second consecutive year at Meadow Brook were Sal Arena, Lawrence Arena, Vincent DiCrescento, and Paul Pomponio, while at Mill River, the honors went to Sal Savarese, Joe Azzopardi, John Drew, and Mike Kerns.
