The Maurer Foundation welcomes James Alterbaum to our Board of Directors. With 30 years of experience in corporate, securities, commercial and employment law, Mr. Alterbaum is currently a Senior Partner in the Corporate/M&A practice area of Moses & Singer and Chairman of its Accounting Law Practice.

Also an author and highly respected public speaker, Mr. Alterbaum contributes to Aspatore’s Corporate Law Best Practices and has written many articles for trade publications. He lectures regularly for the National Business Institute as well as Columbia University’s School of Business, where he serves on the Portfolio Advisory Board of the Eugene M. Lang Center for Entrepreneurship. As a reflection of his excellent work with Columbia’s MBA students, Mr. Alterbaum received the University’s “Mentor of the Year” award. He has led presentations for a number of other organizations and is also an affiliate of the Institute of Management Accountants.

Mr. Alterbaum’s extensive background in law and business make him a valuable asset to the Foundation’s Board of Directors. Thanks to the support of board members and staff, the foundation has been able to reach hundreds of thousands of people with life saving breast health information. The charity’s efforts to extend their education programs to an even broader audience continue as part of their mission to raise breast health awareness.
