September is turning out to be very busy in the program department, and we’re very excited about that!  One of my favorite things about working at the Maurer Foundation is going out to educate people about early detection of breast cancer.  I’ll be on Long Island at Jericho High School, Walt Whitman High School and the Nassau County Department of health this week.  I really enjoyed meeting new students last week, in the first of ten classes I’ll be teaching for Murrow High School’s Being Breast Smart Peer Education Program, in Brooklyn, NY!  The women at the YWCA of NYC were a pleasure to speak to, as were the students at Brentwood High School on Friday.  I reached 250 people last week, and will reach about 450 this week.  It’s great that so many people of all ages benefit from our programs!
